Continuing Education - Teens at CHP

May 13, 2013, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM
CHP Hillsboro

A few of the challenges of adolescence are discussed in this workshop, designed for working professionals and approved for CE by pharmacy, physician assistant and social work licensing/regulatory boards.

It's Not Easy Being Teen — Challenges of Adolescence. Focus on positive youth development in this workshop led by Pacific University faculty members Laura Edwards-Leeper, Don Schwietzer and Mark Della Paolera.

Join other professionals from many fields to learn appropriate and sensitive methods of interaction with gender dysphoric youth, recognize practices that re-traumatize youth and discuss methods to implement to reduce adolescent drug use. Use these discussions to indentify strategies to put positive youth development into practice in challenging situations.
