Information about CANS at Pacific University
What is CANS?
CANS (Calendar and News System) is Pacific University's primary means of sharing information on the World Wide Web and e-mail. All calendar (events) and news (articles, annoucements) are entered into CANS and categorized for output across the Pacific website.
Who can use CANS?
Anyone with a PUNetID (network indentification) and password can log into CANS and add calendar and news items;, however, only publishers can approve an item for public output.
Should you be a CANS publisher?
Contact the Web Manager, at webmaster@pacificu.edu for more information about becoming a CANS publisher.
Submit to PUNN
Pacific University News Network
PUNN and CANS work together. Just log in to CANS and enter a calendar or news event. Be sure to check the box next to PUNN and hit submit.
