Greening Pacific!

This study describes a community-based social marketing (CBSM) research project to bring awareness and behavior change related to paper reduction, recycling, and purchasing of environmentally preferred products (EPP) at Pacific University.

Reuse before Recycle

Pacific's office supply reuse cabinet is now housed in the Milky Way. This is open to all staff and faculty for passing on any office equipment or materials in working order to second users. Keep this in mind before you throw out or order new.

Sustainable Offices Pledge Drive Winner is Hope Villanueva!

Thank you for making a commitment to foster changes in your offices to reduce our ecological footprint. 151 signed pledges were returned to be included in a raffle. Congratulations to Hope Villanueva from Upward Bound who is the winner of the ergonomic keyboard, cordless mouse, and rechargeable batteries donated by Office Depot.

In the month long Sustainable Offices pledge drive to foster participation from departments and offices on campus we’ve had a wonderful turnout. With 100% participation from the College of Arts and Sciences Main Office in Bates, Upward Bound, World Languages and Literature, and the Office of Academic Affairs staff and faculty commitment to sustainable offices is clear. Other departments with high pledge drive participation were University Advancement, International Programs, Athletics, the Business Office, and University Information Services.
