Which tests do I have to take?

Pacific University requires MAT Fifth Year and MAT Flex candidates to submit passing test scores on the following tests:

Special Education candidates must pass the CBEST, Praxis I (PPST), or WEST-B for admission. They are also encouraged to take the ORELA. Note: the ORELA is not required for admission or licensure, but it is required in order to be considered "highly qualified." Licensed teachers seeking their Special Education endorsement do not need to retake the CBEST or Praxis I. All Special Ed candidates will be required to pass the appropriate Praxis II test(s) during the program. Your program director will provide more information on this test after you have been admitted.

Teachers seeking to add other endorsements/authorizations should pass the appropriate tests prior to application. For more information, contact the College of Education Admissions Office.

Additional evaluations may be submitted, but please no more than five total. The evaluation forms should come from objective sources. Avoid recommendations from friends and relatives.

Do I need to get recommendation letters in addition to the evaluation forms?
