Catherine (Eun Joo) Kim
Associate Professor of Education, ESOL Program Coordinator, TESOL Minor Advisor (Forest Grove)
Dr. Kim is a specialist in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), Second Language Acquisition, and Bilingualism. She has extensive experience in teaching courses in ESOL methods, foreign language teaching methods, language acquisition, and educational linguistics. Dr. Kim was formerly a full time faculty member at Princeton University and Ohio State University before moving to Portland, Oregon. Her research interests include bilingual and biliteracy development of second language learners and the role of community, teachers, and parents in maintaining and developing bilingual proficiency.
