New Teacher Academy

Congratulations! You’ve graduated from your Pacific University teacher education program. Now what? Are you concerned about being on your own?
As a Pacific alumnus, you’re still part of the Pacific community. Join the New Teacher Academy and receive support, assistance, and resource information from College of Education faculty and your fellow alumni.
Eugene Campus - The New Teacher Academy holds six meetings during the school year, typically in November, December, February, April, and May at the Eugene campus.
Forest Grove Campus - The New Teacher Academy holds four dinner meetings during the school year, typically in October, December, February, and April at a convenient, central location.
"I really appreciate the opportunity to learn more about classroom management"
"I'm happy to have the chance to share my ideas"
"New teachers often feel isolated. NTA helps me stay connected"
Informal and fun, the meetings are designed to increase your knowledge of teaching and learning by providing information on current topics and research. Grads from all College of Education programs are welcome.
NTA provides a safe place to ask questions and is a great way to maintain your relationships with faculty and fellow alumni.
There is no fee to participate in the New Teacher Academy. You may attend meetings as you please.
