College of Education Information & Resources for University Supervisors: Important Dates
Important Dates - Eugene
We have listed deadlines and important dates for both you and our students. Please don't hesitate to check with us if you have questions or concerns about any of the following information.
- Work sample scoring workshops will be held on October 30th from 1-3, November 26th from 1-3 , and December 10th from 10-12. For new supervisors, you are required to attend at least one of these workshops. Please bring one of your student teacher's work samples with you to the workshop. We will go through the scoring rubric and evaluation guide while you score one of your work samples. Please contact Rachael and let her know when you will be attending. You don't need to worry about notifying us until you know when you will be receiving your work samples.
- Work samples are due to supervisors on November 29th. Please contact Shelley at smolniskys@pacificu.edu if this date creates challenges for any of your students.
- The last Learning Communities class will be held at The Shedd on December 7th from 3-5. Your students will need to leave their schools a bit early; it is their responsibility to notify their mentor.
- Graduation rehearsal will be on December 14th at 2:00 at The Shedd. We may move the time change later this fall; we will keep you notified.
- Graduation will begin at 6:00 on Friday, December 14th at The Shedd. We would love to have you attend. If you're interested in joining us for graduation, please let Kimberly know so that she can reserve tickets for you.
- All paperwork and grades are due no later than December 21st. Paperwork includes copies of all observations, there should be at least five of these. In addition, we will need midplacement progress reports completed by you and the mentor teacher, a student teaching summary evaluation which includes both you and the mentor's evaluation scores, and a summary evaluation self-assessment completed by the student. You will also need to turn in the scoring guide for the scored work sample.
