Additional Information | Admitted Pharmacy Students

Housing

Pacific University School of Pharmacy students are responsible for finding their own housing while attending the program. Possible resources to help aid in the search include Pacific e-classifieds, local newspapers and websites. The Pacific University School of Pharmacy is not associated with any apartment complexes or search engines, therefore, cannot guarantee quality.

A recommendation when looking at apartments and their distance from Pacific University's Hillsboro Campus. You can put the apartment address into the Trip Planner on the TriMet website to see if the MAX light rail is accessible from the apartment complex.

Financial Aid

If you have not completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, do so immediately. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office

Computer Specifications

You are required to have a laptop in the Pharmacy program. Please follow the computer recommendations for the College of Health Professions. For additional information, see University Information Services (UIS).

Health Insurance

Everyone must have health coverage while attending school at Pacific University. This is automatically billed to your student account. If you wish to opt out of Pacific's health coverage plan, offered through academic health plans, you must submit a waiver form no later than Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Health insurance is a necessary requirement for the clinical component of your pharmacy education. The Business Office at Pacific University will be sending out a packet of forms this summer which will include information regarding student insurance.

Student Mentoring

The School of Pharmacy Student Senate has developed a very successful mentoring program to link incoming P1 students with current P2 students over the summer. Get tips on where to live, where to shop, clothes to bring, and anything else! More information will be added here and/or emailed directly to you closer to May.
