Art & Design | Academic Advising Handbook
The studio art major offers two tracks: Fine Arts and Design. Both tracks give students opportunities for creative expression and experience with practicing the creative thinking process. Additional skills developed in these tracks include technical skills with specific media, project management, and communication through both visual and verbal formats. Clear visualization, intelligent planning, effective problem solving, and skillful implementation are transferable skills critical to many careers. We encourage connections between art and other disciplines.

Study abroad needs to be coordinated with ARTHI 372 Contemporary art, as 372 is offered in fall alternate years and should be taken in the jr or sr year.
