  • Lū'au announcement letter packet is emailed to roster parents and alumni

October 18

  • We will continue to enroll parents on committees, meet with committees, discuss committee progress, questions and/or problems, and share more info with the Club

  • The previous lū'au video is viewed

  • Travel info is distributed for those going to lu'au

  • Donation Solicitation letters will be mailed in January. If you have any suggestions for solicitations, please let us know. Donations committee starts follow-up with companies towards the end of January  

November 22

  • Finalize Donation list, network and recruit more parent participation

2016

January 24

  • We will continue to enroll parents on committees, meet with committees, discuss committee progress, questions and/or problems, and share more info with the Club.
  • Distribute t-shirt and DVD order forms.
  • The deadline is February 22 for T-shirts.
  • The travel itinerary info sheet and acknowledgements for program book are distributed.

February 21

  • T-shirt order forms are due.
  • Non cash forms are available.
  • Non-perishable donations accepted.
  • Acknowledgements for program books are submitted. Deadline is March 10.

March 13

  • First Packing Day.
  • Non cash forms are available.
  • Non-perishable donations accepted. No chocolates. Dry Cargo Only.
  • Acknowledgements for the program books are submitted. The deadline for submission is March 10.

April 3 - Sunday

  • Haku lei making/washing greenery.
  • Final Delivery day for 2nd cargo shipment. Packing Day. Haku making and shipping.
  • Neighbor island delivery to HNL.
  • Final cargo - outer isles and O‘ahu to Oregon.

Lū'au Weekend Schedule - Parents

Parents start arriving at college on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

  • Friday April 8: Parents' meeting is held in the Stoller Center (PAC) at 9 a.m.
  • Parents will help students with stage & dining hall decorations, Country Store setup & sales, sewing, selling leis, floral arrangements, costumes alterations and hemming, preparing the food, cleanup and any other projects when needed.

Country Store Hours

  • Country Store opens for faculty/campus members on Friday (3 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). It is open Saturday (10:00 a.m.) for the general public, until 4:30 p.m. It re-opens during the show until the end of intermission.

Kitchen

**Tentative info - subject to change

  • Kitchen activity starts on the Sunday, before Lū'au Day.
  • During normal college business hours, a few selected parents organized thru the Food Advisor, are able to in the kitchen.
  • After business hours, on Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, parents' help is needed to prepare the lū'au and/or local food.

Dress Rehearsal 

  • This show is held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Chili and rice after dress rehearsal in the U. C. for students only Snacks like sandwiches and SPAM musubi will be made for late night break for Saturday show's intermission.

Lū'au Day: Saturday, April 9, 2016

Meal Time (public): 4:30 p.m. University Center (dining hall)
Show Time (one show): 6:30 p.m. Stoller Center (Pacific Athletic Center - Gym)

After Party

  • Parents and students, may attend, by invitation only. It takes place in the dining hall after the cleanup of stage and Country Store areas.​

April 24

  • FINAL PARENT MEETING . Lunch will be catered. Mahalo nui loa!!!
