Lisa joined Pacific University as Program Director for the School of Dental Health Science in July 2005, after serving as a consultant for the developing dental hygiene program during the prior year. She has over 25 years experience in dental hygiene and dental assisting education, having worked in both teaching and program administration. Her areas of expertise and interest include medical emergencies, clinical teaching, and organizational development. She is a CPR/first aid instructor and instructor-trainer for the American Red Cross and has conducted courses at the community, professional, and college level.

Lisa is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Education Association and has served as a delegate to both associations at the national level. She has held numerous leadership positions on both the state and local level with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha, the national dental hygiene honor society, holding alumni membership in the Chi Chi Eta chapter and faculty membership in the Beta Beta Chi chapter.

Lisa strives to create a positive learning environment by encouraging creative problem solving and innovative teaching methods. Throughout her work experiences, she has been committed to open communication, collaborative relationships, and continuous quality improvement.
