Guitarist, singer and songwriter Tom Rush helped shape the folk revival of the 1960s and the folk renaissance of recent years with his distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice. Beginning his musical career in the early 1960s playing the Boston-area clubs while a Harvard student, including the famed Club 47, Rush has gone on to a long recording career, and has showcased and influenced musicians such as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Garth Brooks, Nanci Griffith, and Shawn Colvin.
