Diversity

At Pacific University, diversity is one of the five pillars of our mission.

Our students, faculty, and staff come from all over the world. While most of our students do come from the Pacific Northwest, almost one in five undergraduates hails from Hawai'i, and we have students from nearly every state and from more than 20 countries. Our alumni represent Pacific University in more than 40 countries.

Our students enjoy experiencing worldwide cultures through the friends they meet on our campuses and through our rich international study and service opportunities.

In addition, campus clubs such as the Nā Haumāna O Hawai‘i, Association for Latinx and Ally Students, Black Student Union, Asia Pacific-American Student Union, and the Student Multicultural Center help students feel even more at home at Pacific.

But we also know that diversity is about much more than race, ethnicity or geography. We believe that exposure to a rich diversity of ideas is critical to the education and growth of all people, and we value the unique experiences and viewpoints of all of our community members.
