Software

The following is a partial list of applications that are available for software development. All computer systems are dual-boot Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) and OpenSUSE Linux 12.3 (64-bit).

The computer science program at Pacific University is a member of the Microsoft Developers Network (MSDN); therefore, we are able to furnish students enrolled in computer science courses access to the full suite of Microsoft developer products and operating systems for free.

Hardware

Our computer science facilities consist of:

  • Intel Core i7 (6 Core / 12 Logical Processors)
  • Dual-monitor (2 Dell 24" LCDs) setup with each station 
  • 32 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Graphics Card
