Ways to Give to Pacific University
Once you have decided where you would like to give, your individual preferences and lifestyle are important in deciding how to give. Your gift may take the form of cash, securities, real estate or almost any kind of personal property with marketable value. Giving appreciated securities is also a great and simple way to give while maximizing your tax savings or you may wish to consider an estate gift. For those of you who are 70.5 years of age, the Pension Protection Act of 2006 offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a gift directly from your IRA. Making a Gift
- Cash/Check. Checks should be made payable to Pacific University. You may send your gift by mail to:

Forest Grove, OR 97116 - Credit Card. The University accepts gifts by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. The easiest way to make this type of gift is online (all transactions are secured using SSL 128 bit encryption).

- Securities. Gifts of appreciated securities and mutual fund shares may be deducted from your taxable income at the mean fair market value on the date of transfer to the University. - Real Estate, Insurance, Personal Property. These gifts can be made to Pacific outright or used to fund life income gifts. You can also contribute real estate to the University and reserve the right to occupy the property during your lifetime. - Matching Gifts. Over 1,000 companies now match gifts by their employees to a college or university. Your company may even double or triple your gift. Check with the Human Resources department at your place of employment for matching gift information and send in the applicable form with your gift.
