Internships: an immersion into your community
The BHS program will be require students to complete an internship that has the potential to serve as the foundation for the Senior Project.
The School of Healthcare Administration and Leadership (HAL) has developed affiliations with a number of local and regional healthcare organizations and systems throughout the country. Students also are able to identify and select those organizations where they would prefer to complete internships.
Students work closely with Katie Parker, Experiential Learning Coordinator, to find meaningful internship placements according to their desired career paths.
Our HAL students have completed internships at healthcare organizations such as:
Samaritan Health Services (Oregon)
Salem Hospital (Oregon)
Clark County Health and Human Services (Washington)
Hawaii Health Systems - Maui Memorial Medical Center (Hawaii)
