Short-Term Group Programs

Downtown Portland Skyline
In addition to the standard seven-week sessions, the English Language Institute offers customized short-term programs on a space-available basis. These programs are developed to meet the needs of individual groups. Course curriculum typically focuses on a specific academic area or skill, such as TOEFL preparation, or developed around a theme, such as Travel & Tourism, Business English, or American Language & Culture.
Short-term programs combine 12-15 hours of classroom instruction per week with field trips to cultural and scenic attractions in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Typical destinations include the Oregon coast, the Columbia Gorge, Multnomah Falls, downtown Portland, and the Tillamook Forest. Depending on the season, students can attend the Oregon State Fair, go whitewater rafting on the Deschutes River, visit Portland’s famous rose gardens, go horseback riding, or watch a Portland Trailblazers or Seattle Mariners game. If you would be interested in working with us on a special program, please contact the English Language Institute. For us to best assist you, please provide the following information: (a) objectives of the program, (b) tentative dates, and (c) potential number of participants. |
