Campus Life

Students attending the ELI will receive the same benefits as Pacific University students, including access to libraries and research facilities, computer labs, athletic facilities, the aquatic center, and all campus activities.
The ELI sponsors a conversation partner program to help students improve their speaking and listening skills through informal conversations with native English speakers. The program offers everyone involved the chance to develop friendships and explore cross-cultural exchanges.
Students are also welcome to participate in weekly “language tables” where they can meet and talk with Pacific students interested in mutually beneficial language practice and exchanges, and they will be included and encouraged to attend activities and events sponsored by the International Club and other relevant campus organizations.
Finally, students can take advantage of the Center for Languages and International Collaboration (CLIC), Pacific’s s multi-media, interactive, collaborative learning center which reflects the best practices of language and international pedagogy.
