AV Equipment-Use Policy
Health Professions Campus Library
The Library houses a variety of AV equipment for use by Pacific University faculty, staff, and students at the Health Professions Campus.
Pacific patrons may check out Data Projectors, a TV/VCR unit, and other equipment to aid in classes, presentations, and meetings held on campus.
These items are available for check-out on a first-come, first-served, basis.
However, reservations are taken. As soon as you are aware of a future need for equipment, please contact the Health Professions Campus Library to make sure that the items you need are available.
Reserving AV Equipment
To make a reservation, please email the Library AV Scheduler at hpclib@pacificu.edu with the following information:
- What equipment you need
- What day/time you need it
- Who will be picking it up (if not you)
You will receive an email confirmation of your reservation.
If the equipment you need has already been reserved, you will be informed promptly so that you have the opportunity to make alternate plans.
NOTE: The Library does not provide instruction on how to use the equipment. Please contact Jimmy Short at x.7248 or shortjt@pacificu.edu for instructional assistance.
Circulation Policy
AV equipment is checked out like any other library material. To check out equipment, you will need to show a valid BoxerCard or other piece of photo ID.
Equipment is checked out for either a 4-hour or 1-day loan period.
Library staff reserves the right to make exceptions.
All equipment must be returned on the date due by the time the Library closes.
Please do not leave equipment unattended when returning it – hand it directly to a Library staff member.
As with other Library materials, you assume responsibility for the care of the item while it is checked out under your name.
You will be held financially responsible for all costs associated with the item should it be lost, stolen, or damaged.
