Only certified service animals are permitted in the Library.
Cell phones and pagers
Cell phones and pagers should be turned off or muted when in the Library. If you need to use your cell phone, please go outside.
Etiquette
The Library is a relatively small space, and we would like to be able to accommodate as many patrons at one time as possible.
To this end, patrons are expected to behave in a respectful and courteous manner.
Loud noises and boisterous groups are discouraged.
If patrons are bothered by specific individuals or groups, please notify the Circulation staff, and the situation will be resolved.
Food and Beverages
Snacks and beverages are allowed inside the Library.
Beverages should be in covered containers.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited, in compliance with Pacific University’s alcohol policy.
Food should not be noisy (e.g. potato chips) and should not have a strong aroma (e.g. pizza).
Patrons should be considerate and clean up after themselves.
