If the Library does have the journal in print
After finding a journal article, check PacCat, the Library catalog, to see if the Pacific University Library has the journal in print.
- Please take note of whether the print journal is located at the Forest Grove campus or the Hillsboro campus – some journal holdings are located at each of the campuses.
Forest Grove campus: Health-related journals before 1996 Hillsboro campus: Health-related journals from 1996 - present - If a journal you need is located at the Forest Grove campus, you may place a request through ILLiad to have the article delivered to you electronically.
If the journal is located at the Hillsboro campus, you may photocopy the article you need.
If the Library does not have the journal in print
Use the E-journals link on the Library’s homepage to determine if the Library has web-based access to the specific journal and/or article.
If the Library does not have print or electronic access to the journal
Use Interlibrary Services (ILLiad) to request the journal article.
If you have never used ILLiad before, you will need to complete a one-time registration form.
Please remember to include the ISSN (International Standard Serials Number) when completing your Interlibrary Services form!
If you are using a Research Database/Index, the ISSN may only appear in the full or complete display of the citation -- not in the abstract or citation-only display.
If you are desperate
Check Summit to see if another Oregon library -- specifically one in the Portland area -- has the periodical. While you cannot order an article via Summit, you can then visit that library to photocopy the article.
