To get a Thesis/Dissertation
Health Professions Campus Library

After finding a citation or an abstract for a thesis or dissertation in PsycINFO, Dissertation Abstracts, or elsewhere, please use WorldCat

1.  In the search box, type in the words from the title – this should be sufficient to locate the dissertation record.

2.  In the information about the dissertation, you will see a section titled “Get This Item”.

3.  Click on the Send request to ILLiad link.

This will initiate a request for the dissertation through Interlibrary Services.  If you have never used Interlibrary Services (ILLiad) before, you will need to complete a one-time registration form before submitting your request.

Be aware

Not all institutions loan their dissertations.  If they do not, Interlibrary Services will contact you to ask if you are willing to purchase a copy of the dissertation.  Most dissertations cost between $25-30 each.

If you are unable to locate the dissertation in WorldCat, please contact the Health Sciences Librarian.
