Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication JLSC is a quarterly, peer-reviewed open-access publication for original articles, reviews and case studies that analyze or describe the strategies, partnerships and impact of library-led digital projects, online publishing and scholarly communication initiatives. JLSC provides a focused forum for library practitioners to share ideas, strategies, research and pragmatic explorations of library-led initiatives related to such areas as institutional repository and digital collection management, library publishing/hosting services and authors’ rights advocacy efforts. As technology, scholarly communication, the economics of publishing, and the roles of libraries all continue to evolve, the work shared in JLSC informs practices that strengthen librarianship. International Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities The International Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities is dedicated to the publication of outstanding scholarship by undergraduates and their mentors from academic institutions of higher learning. Although the Journal is primarily intended for scholarly work from institutions in the Pacific Northwest, submissions from outside the region will also be considered. The Journal accepts submissions of research articles, fiction, poetry, photography, videos, and other creative works from undergraduate students in all academic disciplines. Res Cogitans publishes selected papers presented at the Pacific University Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. The Conference provides an annual forum for the presentation of philosophical work of undergraduates to their peers. Since 1997, almost 1000 students from nearly 250 schools across the country and the globe have participated in the conference. All of the participants are undergraduate students, with the exception of the annual keynote address by a renowned philosopher. Past keynote speakers have included Paul Churchland, Hilary Putnam, John Searle, Keith Lehrer, Catherine Elgin, John Perry, Hubert Dreyfus, Jerry Fodor, and Alvin Plantinga.
