New Awards for Pacific

The magazine receved three awards in the recent Bronze Beacon Awards competition sponsored by the Oregon-Columbia Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).  Two articles from the Fall '07 issue received Award of Merit citations for feature writing, including "The Amazing Grace of Yukie Sumoge," by Leanne Kreigh '94, and "This Birthday Cake Might Melt," by Steve Dodge.  In addition, the Winter '07 "Faces of Pacific" calendar issue designed by Joyce Lovro Gabriel, received an Award of Merit for special purpose external publications.  IABC professionals from Atlanta judged the regional competition.
