Bobbi Nickels 1970
Bobbi Nickels ’70, former director of Pacific’s Upward Bound program, has raised $25,000 for an endowed scholarship for low-income Pacific students, in honor of her former students. Many small donations, including all of the custodial staff, helped build the fund, which is still accepting donations. Nickels hopes to see the first annual scholarship awarded this fall.
Felicity Shoulders 2008
Felicity Shoulders ’08 has been nominated to receive the 2010 Nebula Award for Short Stories. Her story, “Conditional Love” is one of seven finalists chosen by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Shoulders will be traveling to Washington, D.C. for the awards ceremony in May.
Reese Moriyama 2010
Reese Moriyama ’10 has won a national award from the University and College Designers Association (UCDA) for a series of photographs of Pacific athletes Moriyama shot in 2010. Only 196 Excellence Awards were given from nearly 1,300 entries in the 40th Annual UCDA Competition. His winning entry was on display at the annual UCDA Design Conference in October in Minneapolis.

Jeff Roberts 1999
Jeff Roberts MAT became the assistant principal at Seaside (Ore.) High School in August 2011, and head football coach in January 2012. Prior to moving to the Seaside School District, he taught and coached in the Tualatin, Sherwood and Parkrose school districts. He, wife Nissa and daughter McKenna live in Gearhart, Ore.

Elias Ashton and wife Shirly Hsu-Ashton welcomed their son, Jase Benjamin Ashton, on Nov. 28, 2012. He was 7 pounds, 12 ounces and almost 22 inches long. Jase joins big sister Isabel.

Molly Richardson 2001
Molly (Estrin) Richardson and her husband, Erick, welcomed Dahlia Everly Richardson, on Jan. 15, 2013. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Dahlia joins big sister Lily.
