Autumn Choreographers Concert slated for Nov. 17-19
Presented by Pacific's Theatre & Dance Department and directed by guest choreographer Allie Boyden.
Pacific University's annual Autumn Choreographers Concert will take place Thursday, Nov. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 19 in the Tom Miles Theatre (Warner Hall - 2115 Pacific Ave.) on the Forest Grove campus.
Each performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and features the Pacific Dance Ensemble and student choreographers, as well as some of Portland's finest professional choreographers and dancers.
Under the direction of guest choreographer Allie Boyden, the Pacific Dance Ensemble's performance will include a new work, "Will His Ship Come In."
A native Oregonian and alumna of Western Oregon University, Boyden takes an innovative approach to explore real-world social issues, including female abuse in drug trafficking, the realities of war and experiences women endure while awaiting their partners' safe return from deployment.
The Autumn Choreographers Concert is presented by Pacific's Theatre & Dance Department.
General admission is $7. Pacific students, faculty and staff, as well as senior citizens 65 and greater, are admitted for $5. Tickets may be purchased on site or in advance by calling (503) 352-2918 Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.
