Jennifer Camp takes PDE to perform in Santa Cruz Fringe Festival
Jennifer Camp will bring select members of Pacific Dance Ensemble to perform in the Santa Cruz Fringe Festival in July.
Jennifer Camp, artistic director of the Pacific University Dance Ensemble, will present Passing Moments, a collection of contemporary works from her repertoire, in five shows June 13-16 at the Santa Cruz (Calif.) Fringe Festival. She will be joined by select members of the Pacific Dance Ensemble, along with professional dancer Cait Powers.
Camp also will teach a master class at the festival on July 14.
Camp is a lyrically expressive Portland choreographer. Her evocative, image-driven choreography taps into the essence of human experience, deeply exploring what motivates and moves us. Characterized by layered movement vocabulary and theatrically gestural elements, Camps’ work is always challenging and surprising.
The performance is made possible by the Elise Elliot Trust.
