Forest Grove Campus Appears in Google Street View

The Google Street View Trike visited Pacific University in August 2011, and the Forest Grove campus is now visible on Google Maps.

Google offers 360-degree view of Pacific University campus

It’s always sunny at Pacific University.

At least, it is if you’re looking at the Forest Grove campus through the lens of Google Street View.

The Google Trike was in Forest Grove last summer, snapping thousands of photos as it tracked the trike’s GPS location, speed and direction. This month, those photos stitched together to became part of the Google world.

Go to Google Maps, zoom to Forest Grove, then drag the “Pegman” icon onto campus. You’ll find yourself virtually standing on campus, with a 360-degree image of the landscape overset onto the street map. Walk through Trombley Square, visit the Boxer statue in Vandervelden Court or peek inside the Lincoln Park Stadium.

But remember, the picture isn’t live. It might be raining here, sometimes.
