Health Professions Alumnae Team to Create Best Practices Materials for Dental Hygienists

School of Dental Health Science alumna Kelsey Bellmore RDH '09 graces the cover of the July 2012 edition of Access, an American Dental Hygienists' Association publication, as part of a story written by physical therapy alumna Bethany Valachi '97 PT, MS, CEAS.
Valachi is the chief executive officer of Posturedontics, a firm she founded that provides research-based dental ergonomics education.
Her story, “Creating the ‘Ergonomic’ Operatory: Evidence-Based Strategies for Dental Hygienists – and Those Who Travel," identifies the physical demands dental hygienists endure when treating patients and strategies to reduce their risks for injury on the job.
Bellmore is also featured in “Positioning for Success,” an educational DVD produced in 2010 by Posturedontics.
