Volunteer Opportunity for Service Learning

This organization loves Pacific volunteers! Work with people of all ages who are learning English.

Downtown Languages is now located on 221 B. St. in the same building as the Head Start main office. Once again, we are looking for volunteers to assist in our classrooms, especially in the Pilas program

that will take place at the Guy Lee Elementary school every Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 8, beginning on October 6th. This program provides 2

levels of ESL for parents while the children get academic support in reading, writing and math. The kids are divided into a Pre-K, a K-3 and a

middle school classroom.

We love having volunteers from Pacific University. They have been the most prepared and the most dedicated interns and if you know of a couple of

students that may be interested in helping us this school year, we would really appreciate their assistance.

Thank you very much and feel free to call me if you have any questions.
