Dawes Earns NSF Grant

ANDREW DAWES, Physics, was awarded a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation’s Research for Undergraduate Institutions (RUI), which will provide equipment, supplies and stipends for two undergraduate researchers. Dawes’ initiative, Multimode Quantum State Tomography of Stored Photons, explores how information carried on a light beam may be stored in an atomic cloud or vapor.
