Public invited to grand opening of new EyeClinic Cornelius location at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center

The College of Optometry's EyeClinic Cornelius has moved into a new location. Ribbon-cutting ceremony set for 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19.


Pacific's College of Optometry, which provides comprehensive vision care throughout the Portland metropolitan area via its EyeClinic service centers, recently moved its Cornelius location into a brand new building at 1151 N. Adair Street.

The new site is also home to the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the building's grand opening at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19.

College of Optometry dean Jennifer Smythe '90, O.D. '93, M.S. '00 is among the speakers taking part in the ceremony.

At EyeClinic Cornelius, Pacific's College of Optometry provides complete vision care, services to Virginia Garcia clients. The clinic offers special services, including Spanish language translation, and reduced fees for care, products and supplies.

The transition to the new clinic, including the installation of new equipment, has been overseen by Associate Dean for Clinical Programs, Ken Eakland O.D. '84.

In addition to serving Virginia Garcia clients, EyeClinic Cornelius is also open to the general public.
