Boxer Alerts system test scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 24
The University will conduct its next semi-annual test of the emergency notification system at 12:15 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 24. All students, faculty and staff who have not yet registered or registered prior to Aug. 21, 2012 are strongly encouraged to do so.
To ensure reliability of the Boxer Alerts emergency notification system, the University periodically conducts tests of the system.
The next test is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 12:15 p.m.
At that time, all registered users at all University locations (Forest Grove, Hillsboro, Eugene, Portland) will receive a Boxer Alert message on their mobile phones and email accounts indicating a test of the system. The message will read: “TEST of Boxer Alert system. This is only a test.”
Prior to this test, all students, faculty and staff are encouraged to register for the service, or verify their registered mobile phone numbers and personal email addresses are correct for those already registered to receive Boxer Alerts. Register or login to verify your the system has your current mobile phone numbers and email addresses here.
To date, only 29 percent of University community members (students, faculty, staff) have registered for this important service.
For your safety and protection, you are urged to register if you have not done so, or verify your current phone numbers and email addresses are in the system.
