Tickets available to hear National Book Award winner Jonathan Franzen

Tickets are available to hear Jonathan Franzen on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Contact Colleen Sump in the MFA program at colleensump@pacificu.edu.


Slate has called novelist Jonathan Franzen "the Tolstoy of the Inernet era." His novel, The Corrections, won the National Book Award and sold nearly 3 million copies worldwide. The New York Times called his latest novel, Freedom, "a masterly portrait of a nuclear famiiy in turmoil." It was also chosen as one of the New York Times Ten Best Books of 2010.
