Effective Feb. 3, 2013, the Facilities Department will begin charging a departmental fee for checking Oregon DMV records of potential students, staff and faculty who wish to become certified drivers of the University Motor Pool vehicles. This fee will be $1.50 per record.

Pacific's insurance company will no longer be providing this service for Oregon licenses. At this time, they will continue to check the out-of-state license records for individuals requesting to become a certified Pacific University driver or rental car driver with coverage under Pacific University's insurance.

At month's end, each department will be charged back for any fees that have occurred during the month for DMV record checks for individuals within or for their department.

After Feb. 3, any person wishing to start the driver certification process will need to have their departmental head/supervisor complete an "Oregon DMV Record Check Authorization and Billing Form."

This form will give the department budget number that is required in order to charge back for the fee as well as the budget authority signature to authorize the charge back for this service.
