Students, faculty, staff and community members gathered to watch the swearing-in of President Barack Obama to his second term in office.

Local schools and nonprofits joined in a community march featuring peace doves from Roots and Shoots.

And a post-march gathering included a keynote address by Margaret Carter, the first African-American woman elected to the Oregon, as well as remarks by Forest Grove mayor Pete Truax, refreshments and origami for kids of all ages.
