Oregon Reading Association Conference

ORA Conference flyer

Pacific University, along with George Fox University and the Oregon Reading Association, is sponsoring a conference for current and former students.

The conference is being held on Wednesday, March 13th, at the George Fox Tigard Center. The keynote speaker is Linda Hoyt who will be speaking on using nonfiction text with students. The cost of the conference is $50 which will include a membership in both the International Reading Association (IRA) and Oregon Reading Association (ORA) along with a journal and a free lunch!

Linda is an outstanding speaker. The strategies she presents are ones that work extremely well with elementary, but many can be used across all grade levels. The sessions will be practical suggestions and strategies for pre-service and new teachers. Teachers, certified within the past 3 years, can attend at the student rate. The registration flyer and conference flyer are attached. You can find more information at http://oregonread.org.
