The Phoenix Charter Academy Network currently operates two high schools in Massachusetts- a charter school in Chelsea and an in-district school in Lawrence. We are seeking talented college graduates who are interested in making a difference in lives.


The Phoenix Charter Academy Network

We are seeking college graduates who are interested in making a difference in the lives of students who have previously struggled in school through daily tutoring.  The right individual for this year of service will have a fierce commitment to confronting the educational inequality that exists in inner city education today. Because our students are often suffering from years of educational neglect or apathy, our staff must be driven with a sense of urgency and energy.

The 2013-2014 Phoenix AmeriCorps Urban Fellowship will include up to 50 full-time Fellows (AmeriCorps "members"), each working closely with high school students and tutoring them in math, English, and biology. 

Every Member's duties will include:


Fellows are expected to be on campus from 7:45am to 6:15pm daily.  In addition to these hours, many Fellows choose to lead extra-curricular groups (in the past Fellows have led yearbook, newspaper, language clubs, or sports teams) outside of regular school ours.

Spanish speakers or bilingual candidates STRONGLY encouraged to apply.
