Support Group for Students with Chronic Illness
Do you attend Pacific while dealing with a chronic illness? You are not alone!
We would like to invite students who identify with having a chronic illness to attend a group meeting that focuses on peer support, solution-focused self-advocacy, and collective wisdom. This group will encourage students with chronic illness to build a sense of community and support around common issues. The support group will be facilitated by therapists from the Student Counseling Center, and we will request that all participants approach the group as confidential. You can meet with this group every week, or on an "as-needed" drop in basis.
When: Tuesdays 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (first meeting March 5, weekly through May 7)
Where: Carnegie 311
Who: Pacific students with chronic illness
How Often: Meet weekly or as needed
Cost: No charge
Facilitators: Forrest Merrill, Psy.D., and Allison Chambers, M.S.
