Campus Public Safety Announcement

Welcoming Bob Black, manager of environmental health and safety.

Please join me in welcoming Bob Black in the position of environmental health and safety manager.

Bob started in his position with Pacific University on May 13. In this role, he will oversee Campus Public Safety (CPS) and manage the health and safety of the Pacific University community.

He comes to Pacific with more than 20 years of experience in security, public safety and emergency management in military, higher education and healthcare environments.

To better serve the university, and to unify the support of risk management, Campus Public Safety is now reporting into the Office of Human Resources and Troy Strass, the director of Human Resources.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank Harold Roark, the director of Facilities, for his many years of direction and management of CPS and the outstanding work he has done in the role of interim environmental and safety manager this year.

We are extremely pleased to have Bob join us and look forward to his contribution to the university. Thank you for helping me welcome Bob to Pacific University.
