University Information Services (UIS) is in the process of upgrading the Faculty and Staff email servers to a newer version of Microsoft Exchange.   User accounts will be migrated in phases to the new system over the next month.  We do not anticipate that users will need to make any changes to their accounts or settings but UIS will be making more information available as test groups are converted to the new servers.   UIS will schedule migrations with departments and inform them of the outages periods a few days prior to converting accounts.

Some benefits of the upgraded system that users will see include better browser support for Outlook web access, better support for small screens, improved calendar sharing, syncing of Outlook Notes and Tasks with ActiveSync clients, and  Out of Office notification pop-ups when composing messages while using Outlook 2010 or newer.

Reminder: University Information Systems (UIS) will never ask for your account, password, or personal information via email. Never reveal your password to anyone. If you are unsure whether a communication from UIS is legitimate, please contact the Technology Information Center.
