News Release Template for Your Events is Now Available

This resource allows you to provide details about your event for submission to news media calendars.


Following is a resource designed to help you promote your events, including concerts, lectures, workshops and other gatherings that are open to the public.

Event News Release Template

The format in this template is especially useful to editors of calendars published by various news organizations, including newspapers, periodicals and broadcast (TV, radio) outlets. 

Please complete this template at least four to six weeks in advance of each event you would like promoted and send to news@pacificu.edu or jlang@pacificu.edu

You can either send the completed MS Word file, or simply cut and paste your completed content from the word file to into the body of the email. 

We will then send to media for consideration their calendars (Oregonian A&E, Forest Grove News-Times "Happenings", television and radio media, etc).

If your event involves a celebrity or is something of recognizable fame or stature, please contact Joe Lang at 503-352-2902 instead of using this resource.

Calendar editors may give event news releases more consideration is they include photos in the event submissions. If you have a photo to illustrate your event, please send it as well. Photos should be high-resolution (at least 300 dots per inch [DPI].
