Facilities Implements New Work Request System
Starting Aug. 1, Facilities Services officially moved to a new work request system that allows faculty and staff to directly submit and follow the work order progress.
Facilities Management has started using SchoolDude as the new work request system. SchoolDude is a web-based maintenance program that allows all approved users to access the system from anywhere, submit work requests for Facilities or Custodial Services and to track those requests through completion. Work requests will only be accepted from staff, faculty and current residence assistant staff. Requests received by unauthorized individuals will not be processed.
The link for this new system is available at the main Facilities Management webpage under “Services.” Please take a few moments to review and/or print off the quick set-up guide, as it also will give you the password needed to submit requests. When ready to submit requests, click on the “Work Request Link.” You can bookmark this address to make the next submittal easier.
As in the past, any emergency request can still be called directly to the Facilities Management office or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. However, a formal submitted request will be required.
Facilities Management hopes this new system will help us to better communicate with the campus community in regards to the status of submitted work requests. Any questions can be sent to email@example.com.
