The Student Senate recognizes the benefits of experience abroad and shares the university’s goal of promoting diversity and exposure to other cultures.
Each year, Senate offers scholarships to assist students in their quest to get out there and do great things.
There will be six $1,000 grants offered to full time students who have little or no previous experience abroad for trips during the Summer or Winter II term.
The goal of this grant is to increase cultural awareness for students who would otherwise not be able to gain it by their own means. Recipients must prepare a 5- to 10-minute presentation upon returning from their travel; this is intended to help promote the experience and the various study abroad programs.
Applications are available outside of UC 104 (bottom floor of the University Center) and will also be available by email. Send requests to Remington Steele (email@example.com).
Applications are due and MUST be returned to the Pacific Information Center (PIC) by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. E-mail Remington Steele (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions about the application or application process.
