Center Releases Annual Report on Sustainability

The Pacific Univeristy Center for a Sustainable Society has released its first annual report after its start-up in July 2012. The center had an eventful first year, with many accomplishments but also many projects still in the works.

Major accomplishments include developing a sustainability strategic plan, conducting a greenhouse gas inventory for natural gas and electricity consumption, producing two videos on sustainability, writing a draft landscape plan for the university, obtaining an incentive grant for the Marsh Hall boiler replacement, moving forward with office greening, and developing a sustainability action plan for the City of Forest Grove. The report will be discussed at the University Council meeting on Thursday, Oct. 10. Read the semiannual report and ancillary documents online
