Fall Choral Concert Set for Friday, Oct. 25
A number of Pacific University musical groups, including the Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, will give their fall performance. General admission $7, senior citizens $5, Pacific employees and students of any school free with valid ID.
The Pacific University Chamber Singers and Pacific University Concert Choir headline the Music Department's annual Fall Choral Concert, slated for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 in McCready Hall within the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center (2014 Cedar Street).
Also performing will be a number of student ensembles, including early music group Ars Nova, women's a cappella group Voce Femme and men's a cappella ensemble Splendid Audacity.
Featured works include Palestrina's "Sicut Cervus," Morten Lauridsen's "Four Madrigals on Renaissance Texts," spirituals, folks songs and a student arrangement.
The Chamber Singers perform under the direction of Dr. Scott Tuomi, and Concert Choir does so under the direction of Steve Peter.
General admission is $7 and senior citizens 65 and greater are admitted for $5. Pacific University employees and students of any school can attend free of charge by showing their valid ID.
