Dr. Wendy Hanks, associate professor in the School of Audiology, receives commendation from ASHA for exemplary poster submission.


Dr. Wendy Hanks, associate professor in the School of Audiology, who joined Pacific University in August 2013, received a commendation from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for an exemplary poster submission, Universal Newborn Hearing Screenings (UNHS) Protocol With 1000 Hz Tympanometry: Cost Analysis & Referral Rates, for the 2013 ASHA Convention in Chicago, Nov. 14-16.

Dr. Hanks and her co-presenter, Dr. Pamela Buethe (Children's National Medical Center), received a certificate for their meritorious poster submission and a ribbon to display on the poster in addition to their poster abstract being noted with a ribbon icon in the convention program. Congratulations to Dr. Hanks — what a great way to wrap up her first semester at Pacific!
