First Avenue EXPO Spotlight: Monterey Institute and Peace Corps

Learn about a cutting edge masters program incorporating Peace Corps international experience into a dynamic curriculum. Discuss the details of this MA program with a grad rep at the First Avenue Career Expo on April 4th, 2014.

If you are torn between going to grad school or having an international travel experience, then you are in for a surprise--you can do both! The Peace Corps Master's International program at Monterey Institute combines travel with coursework. This master's degree focuses on training students for challenging Peace Corps field work in developing nations, and the curriculum alternates between two or three semesters in the classroom, 27 months of Peace Corps service, and then a return to campus to finish up any last credits and capstone projects.

The Peace Corps MA program will be recruiting at the First Avenue Career Expo on April 4th and would be happy to give you information on scholarships, combined degrees, and anything else you have questions about. To sign up for the Expo and network with great schools and companies like this, visit https://olapcfirstavenue.org/student-registration/. There's a $10 registration fee, but if you meet with a career advisor to have your resume approved and attend one of the Prepare to Go to the Career EXPO info sessions (March 19th or April 2nd  noon-1PM in the UC Fireside Lounge or April 3rd in Chapman Hall at noon) you can get it reimbursed, no problem!
