SPP Student Recognized for WPA Award

Corey Anderson, MS, a PsyD student in the School of Professional Psychology was recognized by the Western Psychological Association for oustanding research in psychology!


Corey Anderson was one of several Pacific students from the School of Professional Psychology and the undergraduate Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences who presented research at the 2008 convention of the Western Psychological Association in Irvine, CA. The group was coordinated by Dr. Alyson L. Burns-Glover. Mr. Anderson was one 16 students from the Western US to receive the prestigious WPA Scholarship which was presented last April at the conference and publicly announced in the February 2009 Western Psychologist Newsletter (http://www.westernpsych.org/wp/index.cfm?id=78).

The WPA will be holding its next annual conference this coming April in Portland, Oregon where Mr. Anderson, Dr. Burns-Glover, and several other Pacific students/affiliates will be presenting research once again.
