Tristan Stoch '11 Earns Film-Making Accolades

Pacific Alumnus Tristan Stoch '11, director of award-winning film "Compassion Connects," has returned from Nepal as media production coordinator for the Berglund Center.

The Berglund Center is proud to announce the return of Tristan Stoch '11 from a month-long stay in Nepal, where he filmed his newest documentary titled "Compassion Connects."

"Compassion Connects" encompasses the daily operations of a health clinic run by the Acupuncture Relief Project (ARP) in Chapagaun, Nepal. By documenting the hardships people in the Third World face in obtaining basic healthcare, Tristan hopes to expose ARP's model for primary healthcare, attract volunteers and expand ARP's work to the rest of the world.

The film was recently awarded 2012 Best Local Documentary at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival and is scheduled to screen at the Port Townsend Film Festival from Sept. 21-23 and the Ruby Mountain Film Festival on Sept. 27-30.
